Privacy and Security Statement for the ek pass Online Training Website

Thank you for visiting the ek pass website and reviewing our privacy and security statement. ek pass is strongly committed to maintaining the privacy of your personal information and the security of our computer systems. With respect to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information, ek pass makes every effort to ensure compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, which came into effect on January 1, 2001.

We do not sell, share, or rent our visitor’s information to anyone. As a rule, ek pass does not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. If you visit our site to read or download information, we collect the following information for use in summary reports:

• The name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, .com, .ca, .us ), the name of the search engine you used (if you arrived at our site using a search engine) and if you linked to our site from another, the address of that site. We use this information to determine where our visitors are coming from.

• The date and time you access our site. This is used to determine high traffic time periods.

• We also collect the name of the internet browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Netscape), the operating system used (Windows 98, Windows XP, etc.), and the setting of monitor resolution and color depth (for example, 800x600 and 16 bit). This data is used to enhance our website so we can make it more useful to our visitors.

If you identify yourself by sending E-mail containing personal information, submitting through our web form, or registering for an online course, this information is used solely for responding to your requests for information. We may forward your e-mail to other ek pass employees who are better able to serve to you.

Our website has many links to other sites. When you link to any of these sites, you are no longer on our site and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.

Cookie Use

When a registered user logs into our online training and/or takes a course, cookies are used. The use of cookies is necessary to track a user and his/her progress throughout a course. These cookies are deleted when the user logs off of our site or will expire after a set amount of time passes, whichever comes first.
